Long-time friend, Jeannie and her daughter, April, came to visit earlier in June. I had just finished with school, and we set off to explore the coastline of Maine. Both of them are great photographers, so some of these pics are from their files. For Arizona girls, everything they saw was new and a feast for the eyes. I would say, by the time we returned, they had had their fill of lobster, and April was close to frozen, from our cooler (than AZ!) temps. Here are some snaps....
The Maine coastline never fails to impress me.
We tried to find as many lighthouses as we could. Sometimes successfully...other times, not so much!
There was a really fun street display, in Belfast, of bikes converted into unique forms of transportation. When you pedaled this one, both the head and tail wagged. Others were equally fun!
A Maine 'fixer-upper"!
Lucky for me, the girls were totally on board with art journaling at the end of each day. As a result, all day long, we were picking up brochures, papers and business cards of places we visited. Jeannie bought a 'brochure' carrying bag on the Vineyard, and became our official carrier of stash! She felt a bit like a 'bag lady' by the end of the trip. Below are a few of my journal pages.
Lobsters came with eating instructions....who knew!
A fun time was had by all! Now it is back to catching up with life.....
