The things that people do are pretty fascinating! These two have been Irish dancers since they were young, and used this method to practice before competitions. Now they are sharing it as its own artform, with the world. Take a look.
I usually have a sign outside my classroom that asks "Do you have your ART HAT on?" This year I made an actual hat, to display, and I think the kids will get a kick out of it. Here were the parts I showed in a previous post...
I finished up with the paint transfer I mentioned a couple posts ago. It is done on a vintage ledger page. The painting part will definitely take me some practice, but it is fun to do. I am a big transfer fan, anyway, so this is worth pursuing.
I have been busy perusing the watercolor produced by Liz Steel. Ok...she is an architect, so her sketches are way out of my league. But I am experiencing sketch-envy....which spurs me on to do what I can. That's a good thing, right?
My little westie, Ivy, was tired enough to be stationary for a time, so she was the focus of this page in my current journal.
A while ago, I posted a video here, of a very talented girl, playing hip hop violin. The only info that video provided was her name-Lindsey. Over the next year I looked, but she didn't show up anywhere! Today, searching U-Tube for something, she cropped up and I was very excited to learn she has surfaced as a musician in her own right. Visit her website if you get a chance. Here she is, auditioning for America's Got Talent. I love her spirit!
Tell me this doesn't make you want to get up and move!
