Have you ever hammered a few flowers? They make interesting ghost images on a journal page. Here are a couple pages where I tried this technique.
How to: Clip a few flowers (keep stems in water till ready to use). Take a folded section of newspaper for your work space and lay your paper on top. Lay front of bloom flat on your paper (watercolor paper is the best, but I just used my regular journal page, here). Cover bloom with paper towel, and gently tap all around with a hammer. You will see the paper towel darken with color. Peek under towel, before removing, and check to see if color seems to be transferring. If not, tap a little more. Remove paper towel, and flower bits...you may need a toothpick or tweezers if they stick.
I labeled the flowers I used here, so you could see what worked well. What flowers do you have in your yard today?
Both pages are white...not sure what the green and yellow casts are. Couldn't remove it!
......easy and fun!
